Work Station 4: Count to 100 Dice Game
Skill/Objective:
Students will count numbers up to 100 orally.
Materials:
Description of Activity:
Using the game board with 100 spaces, the children will roll their dice (one, two, or three, depending on the level of ability) and count until they reach 100. This activity will reinforce skills that the students have been working on in previous classes, counting by ones and one-to-one correspondence.
Ideas for Differentiation:
There are three levels of difficulty for this activity. For students needing extra help, rolling one die will allow them to count by smaller numbers. Students needing more of a challenge can roll two or three dice, which will require that they count to higher numbers.
